Laetitia TIANI VESSAH Your Legacy Lives On June 12, 2019

Dear Aunty Hilda,

You have left us to rest with the Father, but the impact you have had on our lives will continue to be felt for generations. Thank you for nurturing the souls of so many students and families, starting with mine. Your big heart, exemplary leadership, and passion for creating a better tomorrow will serve as a blueprint as we follow in your footsteps. Thank you is not enough, and we will surely do more. I will miss your warm embrace and the way in which you always called me by my full name. I wish I were in Cameroon to accompany you on your final journey. Alas, I will pray for your family and the loved ones you leave behind. You are in my heart and prayers, until we meet again.

Adieu Aunty Hilda, we will always love you!

One thing is sure, I'll never forget you.

My earliest memory of my Auntie Kellen was when I was about 8 and she had come to Delaware for the summer. I was little but I knew something huge was going to happen that summer because my mom had been anticipating my Aunts arrival for weeks. It was my first time meeting my Aunt Kellen that summer and when I first met her she gave me a hug and called me “grandmother”. She told me that was the name she had given me because I look just like her mother. I felt honored that every time my Auntie Kellen saw me she saw grandma. She saw in me the grandmother I had never known in person and that touched my heart. That summer was one of the best times I had in my life growing up in Delaware. One thing that I loved about my Aunt Kellen was she knew how to bring the family together for a good time. She always put God first and told me he will guide your life.

My last photos of the family together were in Georgia in the year 2009. We had a great time with music, laughter, and food. I will choose to remember my Aunt Kellen with a smile on her face and her proud moments on this earth.

Yes Its difficult to believe some truths, but this? ........  when i joined the Emergence family, i met a boss and a mother. a proprietress who know all her staff over a hundred by thier respective names and gave attention to every one. Always frank, correct so strictly, yet pulls you back with an  irresistable smile and love. u always made me understand i could do better and always urge me to give the best of my skills in the job.... its painful to know u left us so soon.

No death has ever shocked me as urs mum. but i know u have joined the jerobines and seraphine in heaven. my prayer is that may the strength of your foundation stand the test of time reflecting the sun of the future...... toward education.

it was with courage and determination that Aunty Hilda founded emergence and in God we will forever trust.

I will forever celebrate your life as a mother, a boss and above all a virtious woman.... heriones are not morned
